Nature Preserve in Fort Myers

Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve is a 3,500-acre wetland and upland preserve in Fort Myers. It features a 1.2-mile boardwalk with amphitheater, observation decks, and educational displays. Visitors can explore the slough, which filters rainwater toward Estero Bay, and observe wildlife such as alligators, turtles, otters, and wading birds. The preserve offers free daily admission with paid parking and guided walks led by interpretive naturalists. The Interpretive Center, Lee County's first green building, provides interactive exhibits.
