What we collect
Florida Spot is a local business directory. We collect:
- Contact and lead form submissions — name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. These are stored so we, or the business you contacted, can respond to you.
- Outbound click data — when you use a "Visit Website" link, we record which listing was visited and the referring page. This data is aggregate and is not tied to your identity.
- Usage analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, searches performed). Analytics data is pseudonymous; see Google's privacy policy for details.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not send marketing email unless you explicitly request information from us.
- We do not require an account to browse the directory.
Business listing data
Listing information (business names, addresses, phone numbers, ratings, hours) is compiled from publicly available sources, primarily Google Business Profiles. If you own a business listed here and want your listing corrected or removed, contact us and we'll act promptly.
How lead data is shared
When you submit a quote or contact request for a specific business, your submission is shared with that business so it can respond. General inquiries submitted through our contact page are seen only by Florida Spot.
Data retention & your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time via the contact page. We retain lead submissions for as long as needed to service the request, and delete them upon verified request.
Cookies
We use only the cookies required for analytics (Google Analytics) and, for business owners who sign in, session authentication. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
